Ava Sheffield, Director of Data Systems and Engineering at Gwinnett County Public Schools, the largest K-12 school district in Georgia, is a distinguished leader accomplished in fostering team collaboration, transforming needs into innovative solutions, and leading enterprise-wide technology initiatives. She has over 30 years of experience in the private and public sector in engineering, maintenance and operations, information technology, data governance, and teaching and learning. In addition to this unique blend of skills and experiences, she has professional certifications in educational leadership and project management. Ava currently oversees the data systems and integration, data privacy, and state and federal reporting teams. She is passionate about using technology to improve educational outcomes for students.
