Brandon Gabel

Director of Technology

Brandon is a seasoned IT professional and veteran with a passion for leadership, technology, and innovation. Born and raised in Arizona, he grew up skateboarding—an activity he still enjoys today. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Information Technology Specialist, serving for ten years (seven on active duty, three in the reserves). Throughout his military career, he deployed twice to the Middle East in support of Operation New Dawn and Operation Spartan Shield, earning multiple awards for his exceptional performance, including placement on the Commandant’s List during an Army leadership course. Rising to the rank of Corporal, he gained invaluable leadership experience that continues to shape his approach to IT management.

In 2015, he earned the CompTIA Security+ certification, demonstrating his expertise in cybersecurity principles, and has maintained the certification ever since. Following his military service, he transitioned into the education sector, joining Agua Fria Union High School District in March 2021 as a Campus Technician. Demonstrating technical expertise and strategic vision, he quickly rose through the ranks—being promoted to Network Operations Manager in 2022 and later to Director of IT in 2024.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a focus on network security and is currently pursuing a Master’s in IT Management. With a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency, he is committed to driving technological advancements that enhance education and empower the next generation.
