With an impressive 28-year career dedicated to serving students in South Carolina, Dr. Candice L. Coppock is a distinguished leader in education. She holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership and began her journey as a middle school English Language Arts teacher.
Dr. Coppock has excelled in various roles, including Instructional Technology Specialist, where she guided educators in integrating technology into their teaching practices. As an Education Associate at the South Carolina Department of Education, she played a pivotal role in implementing new educational standards. Her commitment to professional development continued as the Director of a professional learning department, where she ensured the delivery of high-quality training for educators.
Currently, Dr. Coppock serves as the Executive Director of Information Technology in Richland School District One. In this role, she not only supports and facilitates the use of technology to enhance educational outcomes but also ensures the district maintains a safe and secure network for all operations. She has earned her CETL certification and actively contributes to the field through her involvement in the CoSN Professional Learning and EdTech Innovation Committees. Dr. Coppock was recently honored with induction into the 2025 CoSN Volunteer Hall of Fame, recognizing her outstanding contributions and dedication to the field of educational technology.
