Lisa Watkins, EdS

Executive Director of Instructional Technology & Innovation

Currently Executive Director of Instructional Technology & Innovation, Lisa has been an educator and advocate for educational innovation and transformation for over two decades. Prior to her position, she served in several district roles, including Director of School Technology, Lead Program Facilitator of Instructional Technology, and Lead Instructor of Gwinnett's Online Campus. She was also one of the founding administrators for Georgia Virtual School and served as Director of School Programs for FuelEducation and Director, Dean of Faculty, for KC Distance Learning.

Lisa has presented at conferences and has served and chaired several committees, including one that developed online teaching standards that lead to the adoption of an online teacher endorsement certificate by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. She holds a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from NOVA Southeastern University, a Masters Degree in Deaf Education from Georgia State University, and a Bachelors degree in English from Emory University.
