Kimberly Roberson is best described as a champion for student learning by improving teacher pedagogy through the creative and transformational use of technology. Formerly an elementary classroom teacher and school-based teacher leader, Ms. Roberson is the Director of Technology Integration and Support for Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) where she has worked for more than twenty years. In her current role, she manages the technology trainers for operational and instructional technology, field technicians, the IT service desk technicians, and information technology coordinators who support technology integration at the school level. Her department is responsible for the procurement, repair, professional development, and support for all hardware and digital resources for staff and students.
Ms. Roberson began her career in Prince George’s County Public Schools as a classroom teacher. Prior to joining PGCPS, she worked as a Director and Trainer for Career Services at a Maryland-based for-profit technical school and an elementary teacher in North Carolina.
Ms. Roberson’s additional qualifications include a BS in Elementary Education from NC A&T State University, an MS, Technology for Educators from Johns Hopkins University, coursework and certifications in Adult Learning and Instructional Design, as well as various technical certifications in Google, Apple, and SMART technologies. She has also successfully completed the CoSN (Consortium of School Networking) CTO Academy for K-12 Early Career and Aspiring CTO’s program and earned a post-baccalaureate certificate from University of Maryland Baltimore County as a Project Management Professional. She is an adjunct faculty member at Trinity Washington University in the District of Columbia.
