Amy Zock, Ed.S., serves as the Executive Director for Instructional Technology, Digital Learning, and STEM for Decatur County Schools in Southwest Georgia. She holds a Bachelor's in Bilingual/Bicultural Education, a Master’s in Diverse Learning, an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a STEM Leadership certificate from the NASA Endeavor program via Columbia University. A recognized leader in educational technology and STEM innovation, she is a state coordinator and thought partner with the Georgia CoSN Emerging Technology Leaders cohort and a member of the CoSN Driving K-12 Innovation Board.
Under her leadership, Decatur County Schools became the first WOZ ED STEM Pathway district in Georgia, setting a precedent for future-focused STEM education. She also leads the district’s AI initiative, guiding the responsible integration of artificial intelligence to enhance learning and operations. As a thought leader in AI and education, she has contributed to national discussions on AI policies, computer science integration, and ethical considerations, including a roundtable at the RTM 2025 East Education Congress.
Additionally, Zock is a mentor, tournament director, and world festival judge with the FIRST organization and serves as a regional director for the Georgia Student Technology Competition (GaSTC). She is a Google Advisory Board member for both technology and instruction, a district partner for Code.org, and leads Decatur County Schools in the GaTECH Rural Computer Science initiative to expand computer science access in rural communities. She also collaborates with the Georgia AIMS Foundation to advance Southwest Georgia’s technology initiatives.
A passionate advocate for lifelong learning, Zock works to implement innovative strategies that enhance education, improve culture and climate, and expand digital learning at the district, state, and national levels.
