Rogelio “Roger” Zambrano is an experienced technology leader with over 12 years of expertise in K-12 education. He specializes in network engineering, cybersecurity, and IT service management. As the Director of Networking and Cybersecurity at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), he leads initiatives that ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing technology infrastructure for schools across the region.
Before joining LACOE, Roger played a pivotal role at Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), where he managed the nation’s largest K-12 technical support team, serving over 750 school sites. His leadership focused on proactive IT support, service management, and infrastructure improvements that enhanced technology experiences for students, teachers, and families.
Roger holds a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He maintains multiple industry certifications, including ITIL Managing Professional and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in Routing and Switching.
Passionate about education and workforce development, Roger is an adjunct faculty member at Los Angeles Pierce College, where he teaches Cisco certification courses, preparing the next generation of networking professionals. He is also actively involved in national and regional broadband initiatives, advocating for equitable access to technology for schools, libraries, and healthcare institutions.
Beyond his professional commitments, Roger enjoys experimenting with culinary techniques, replicating restaurant recipes, and mentoring individuals in financial literacy and career growth. His dedication to technology, education, and innovation continues to drive positive change in the K-12 community.
