Dr. Jeremy Sullivan is an education leader dedicated to leveraging technology as a tool for equitable learning, ensuring that all students—regardless of their resources at home—have access to high-quality instruction. As the Director of Technology and Innovation for North Kitsap School District, he spearheads initiatives that harness the power of technology to meet individual student needs, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and personalized learning experiences.
Dr. Sullivan’s career began in New York City as part of the Urban Teaching Fellows program at Fordham University, where he taught in an alternative middle school serving high-needs students. This formative experience reinforced his belief that education is the most powerful tool for addressing social inequities. Following this experience, he taught English Language Arts in Missouri, taking on leadership roles in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and technology integration. His commitment to student advocacy was recognized nationally when the Gay-Straight Alliance he sponsored was named GLSEN’s National GSA of the Year.
Following his work as a classroom teacher, Dr. Sullivan expanded his impact by coaching hundreds of teachers in research-based instructional strategies, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed practices as a Blended Learning Specialist and later a Learning Specialist in Springfield Public Schools, Missouri’s largest public school district. A Google Champion and AI thought leader, he has presented at regional, national, and international conferences on the intersection of technology and education and has also served on the NCCE Program Advisory Committee the past two years. He is now deeply involved in shaping AI adoption in K-12 schools, including developing district-wide AI guidance and leading professional learning for educators, most recently at the AI Innovation Summit in Seattle. Dr. Sullivan holds a Master of Arts in Teaching, a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Leadership.
