Anthony Essmaker is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in local government, project management, legal interpretation, technology, cybersecurity, and process efficiency. Currently serving as a Regional Engagement Manager at the Center for Internet Security (MS-ISAC), Anthony is dedicated to securing local government units by leveraging his experience in local government and is understanding of cybersecurity principles. Anthony's career in local government spans various roles where he gained comprehensive experience in managing employees, balancing budgets, and developing policies and procedures. His ability to train and engage with both volunteers and staff, coupled with his experience as a Union Steward and manager, highlights his versatile leadership skills. In addition to his government roles, Anthony has also got his start working part-time as an IT Technical Specialist and Safety Officer, providing essential IT support and addressing physical safety concerns. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Ferris State University. He has also earned a Project Management Certificate from Google Inc. and holds a few cybersecurity certifications, including GIAC GISF, GCCC, and ISC2 CC. His contributions to local government have been recognized with multiple awards from the Federal Election Commission.
