Director of Instructional Technology
Chandler Unified School District
Chandler, Arizona
Shaun Creighton currently serves as the Director of Instructional Technology for the Chandler Unified School District, where he has spent his entire 29-year career in education. Although Shaun has always been a lover of technology, he started his career as a junior high choral music teacher. He eventually transitioned to teaching computer applications and discovered that as much as he loved teaching technology to students, he loved helping teachers innovate in their own classrooms even more. When CUSD started an Instructional Technology department, he jumped at the chance to become an educational technology coach. After several years as a coach, he was blessed to take on his current role where he gets to guide an amazing team of educational technology coaches and an instructional designer.
Shaun graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music Education (choral music emphasis) and from Arizona State University in 2002 with a Master of Education in Educational Technology. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Education Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Technology in Education Association. Shaun is passionate about helping educators discover how technology can help students unleash their full potential. When he's not working, Shaun enjoys spending time with family and friends (especially his wife and five grown children), going to concerts, traveling to new places, and rooting for his Arizona sports teams.
